Exploring Food in the Troy Kids’ Garden

Experience the fun of making fresh food right out of the garden in this hands-on class for kids (with an adult).  We’ll be harvesting veggies from the garden to use in kid-friendly recipes that we’ll make together in the new culinary arts outdoor classroom.  Learn how to use a hand-cranked blender, a solar oven, a bike powered grain mill and other fun outdoor cooking tools.  Class meets at the Troy Kids’ Garden at 502 Troy Drive. Instructors: Megan Cain and Elizabeth Gering teach gardening to hundreds of Madison kids through Community GroundWorks’ youth programs.  Register through Willy St. Co-op East.
