Application for a plot at Troy

2008 Troy Community Gardens Application

New gardeners:
It is the mission of Troy Gardens to serve residents of the Northside, and given space limitations we may give priority to new gardeners who live on the Northside or closest to the gardens. The registration deadline for applications received via mail is February 22, 2008. Applications may be submitted in person at Spring Registration which will be March 1, 2008, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at Lakeview Lutheran Church (Northport and Mandrake). All new gardeners are strongly encouraged to attend Spring Registration to learn about gardening at Troy and to ask any questions you may have.

If you are a new gardener, your application will be considered according to the plot assignment rules and you will be notified as to whether you have a plot at the Opening Day event at Troy Gardens on April 19, 2008. Every attempt will be made to notify you sooner if you requested and received a plot in a no-till section so you may begin gardening as soon as weather allows. Those who do not live on the Northside might try contacting Janet Parker of Community Action Coalition (246-4730 ext. 218) to find out about gardening opportunities closer to your home.

New gardeners at Troy are limited to one plot. This limit is set so that we can be sure you are serious about gardening and are ready to take on more space.

Returning gardeners:
All returning Troy gardeners must submit an application in order to garden during the 2008 season. Registration deadline for applications received via mail is February 22, 2008. Applications may be submitted in person during Spring Registration - March 1st 2008, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at Lakeview Lutheran Church (Northport and Mandrake).

We will do our very best to honor specific plot requests - both number of plots as well as location. Due to space limitations we cannot always guarantee specific requests.
